Providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for young people is always our highest priority at Prefer Homes. As part of our ongoing commitment to high-quality care, staff recently completed de-escalation and conflict management training designed specifically for care and support settings.
The training focused on helping staff develop the skills and confidence needed to manage challenging situations calmly, safely, and professionally. Team members learned effective communication techniques, strategies for reducing conflict, and ways to support young people during times of emotional distress or heightened anxiety.
The session reinforced the importance of teamwork, safeguarding, and maintaining a trauma-informed approach in everyday practice. Our staff thoroughly engaged with the training and welcomed the opportunity to continue developing their professional skills.
We want to say a big thank you to our training partners andwe are proud of our dedicated team for their ongoing commitment to learning and providing the highest standard of care, support, and guidance to the young people we work with every day.
